Concept of Choice

What do you consider your greatest risk to be?

In the International Edition of the Guardian the top five regrets of the dying were witnessed & recorded by an Australian palliative care nurse.  These were, drumroll please…

1.“I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”

2. I wish I hadn't worked so hard.

3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

 5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

This may sound a pretty morbid place to start this blog when we are touching on choices… but if we don’t take time now to look at what is stopping you from pursuing your dreams or even your destiny then we could be missing an important subject matter.

For some. it may be as simple as giving yourself permission to be happier than you are.  I don’t believe there is one person reading this that wants one of the above statements on an epitaph, figuratively speaking.

Now I know that we all have bills to pay, mouths to feed, roofs to put over our heads… BUT I believe there is something inside of us, all, that thinks we will live for ever, and we will… but not in this world.

In 202AD Saint Iraenaeus was quoted as saying, “The glory of God is man fully alive, but a man fully alive is man glorifying God.”

Something significant happens in our hearts when we realize possibilities can become a reality.  When hope in our hearts is deferred it makes us sick, weary of disappointments yet when a longing of our heart, a dream, is fulfilled it brings with it such life.  (Proverbs 13:12 “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”)

What matters most when we are faced with responsibilities or disappointments in life, is not necessarily what the responsibility / disappointment was about, but how we choose to respond to it.  Everyone experiences failures/suffering of some kind.  Some experience falling into wrong responsibility / false responsibilities.  If we are able to keep dreaming, keep trying, keep letting go of stuff that doesn’t line up with the word of God, then we haven’t really failed.

Our mistakes don’t define who we are they refine who we are becoming!

The impact your dreams can have, will help clarify your Choices // WHY // Destiny // Purpose // Direction // Contribution to your world AND empower you beyond your assets.

An invitation is extended to each one of us, and it is up to YOU to courageously make those choices / take a seat / stand firm in His Truth / stay where you are at!
